Bill McMahan – Dedicated Pontiac Journeyman

04/17/2021 – Tennessee’s Bill McMahan accumulated 21 Cup starts over 2 seasons (1964 & 1965), all behind the wheel of Pontiacs owned by Casper Hensley, excepting the 1964 Nashville 400 where Bill piloted another Pontiac owned by the legendary Buck Baker.

Over the course of his 21 starts, McMahan attained 1 top-5 and 4 top-10 finishes (no wins/no poles/no laps led) with a career finishing average of 19.3, certainly not terrible for a journeyman.

The pride of Dandridge, Tennessee, Bill McMahan.
