08/08/2020 – For the last half of the 2000 NASCAR Winston Cup season, Steve Grissom was called upon by Petty Enterprises to get the Hot Wheels Pontiac Grand Prix up to speed, a task easier said than done. Grissom took the wheel of the Hot Wheels Pontiac for a total of 13 times, DNQ’ing a total of 8 times (including the final 4 consecutive races of the 2000 season) while managing a best finish of 16th (Talladega, on the lead lap).
Grissom’s Grand Prix had a slightly different paint scheme than the usual blue, yellow, and red that everyone was familiar with –
